How to Pick Economics Classes
The first week of a new class is like opening a present from your grandparents: it’s either something amazing or it’s something you’ll try once to make grandma smile and then you’ll throw it in a dark corner never to be seen again.
Since students around the world are picking their classes for the next year, I thought I’d give my advice for how to pick good classes. These are not sacred commandments handed to me by Milton Friedman himself—they’re just guidelines I thought would help students.
What do you think I should add?
Progress in Economics Education
The other day I asked for a phrase that betrays whether someone hasn’t studied economics in 50 years. There are some interesting answers which reflect the progress of economics.

New Podcast
There’s a new podcast from the Becker Friedman Institute discussing economic policy. With their resources, they are bound to have great guests.
